Durians are fruits you don’t need to see, as their scent often announces their presence.

Some love it, some hate it, and as it is a very divisive fruit, many have tried to be innovative, such as putting it in ramen.

However, instead of making something with it, a Singaporean company named Play United has decided to put them into claw machines instead.

According to The Straits Times, these claw machines are available at a pasar malam in Toa Payoh and two malls. It also only costs 1 SGD (RM3.43) for a try. So if you succeed with just 1 try, the fruit is really dirt cheap.

It seems that the claw machine is popular as the company will need to restock the machines with more than 200 durians daily.

Shin Min Daily reported that one man spent up to three hours at the durian claw machines.

The man in his 40s shared, “I started playing claw machines when I was eight. It’s my hobby. Since the durian claw machines came, I’ve been here daily to play.”

Durian Claw

It is said that he truly has the skills, as Shin Min Daily’s reporter had witnessed how he “caught” 5 durians in just 15 minutes.

Well, this is not the craziest way someone has taken to sell durians.
