YDPA Spotted Riding on a Motorbike During His Visit to Tioman Island, Praised by M’sians For His Humility

His Royal Highness the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al Mustafa Billah Shah is well-loved by Malaysians and known for his humility and selflessness.

He is also known for having a fun side and his casual and light hearted approach to certain things.

Recently, during his visit to Tioman Island, the king was spotted riding along on a motorbike whilst being flanked by his personnel and other members of the royal family who were all also on motorbikes.

In a Facebook post shared by Istana Negara, they wrote, “The Agong wanted to ride a motorbike around Kampung Tekek, Tioman Island and greet the villagers. His Majesty also stopped at a stall to enjoy afternoon tea and mingle with the visitors at the stall”.

“Earlier in the morning and afternoon, His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong had agreed to go to complete the inauguration ceremony of the Maternity Center, at the Tekek Health Clinic and went to a luncheon with the people on Pulau Tioman“, they added.

Another example of his humility

The pictures of our king riding a motorbike have since gone viral and netizens praised him for being so cool and casual about it.

“The best! Our Agong has the spirit of the rakyat. Praying for his health.”

“Your majesty, the king who has the soul of the people is the best“, said a user.

Meanwhile, some users were concerned by the lack of safety and how the king and his entourage were not wearing helmets. They urged the organisers to be better prepared next time.
