Regardless of where you dine in, be it fancy restaurants or cheap stalls, hygiene ALWAYS comes first before the quality of the food. What was spotted behind a Mamak restaurant recently in Klang might just turn your stomach.
In a viral X post by @elyasyusrizal, the man was baffled to see how employees at a Mamak restaurant washed dishes. Instead of a commercial stainless steel sink, the workers were spotted washing dishes at a “unique” designated area – inside rubbish bins with contaminated water that was reused multiple times.
Elyas silently recorded the incident from his car before he walked out and approached the staff to confront him about his cleaning method.
“Oh, we just use those bins to soak the plates,” the staff told Elyas.
Elyas was not happy at all with the response, saying “it boiled his blood”. He also shared another video for the public to see what’s really inside the bins, shall we “dive into” the bin to see what’s really there?
The thought of the plates and cutleries that were “showered” with the contaminated water might leave you wondering about the hygiene practice at the restaurant.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Elyas said the restaurant is located in Bandar Botanic, Klang, and is at one of the corner lots around the area.
“To those who frequent this place, you might want to check the place. If the condition is still the same, please report it to the relevant authorities,” Elyas said.
Going through the comments, many netizens were disgusted to see the absence of hygiene aspects among the employees but there is one particular comment that will leave you horrified.
“It’s just beside my office. I saw one of the staff urinating and he just wiped his hands with his apron before getting back to work.”

Kita ni dah lah selalu lepak mamak, sekali nampak benda macam ni depan mata nak muntah mat ? basuh pinggan celup2 dalam tong sampah. Speechless. Nah korang tengok lah sendiri, takdelah tekak aku sorang loya.

To all food operators out there, hygiene should be one of the fundamentals to take into account and as customers, if you happen to spot anything that violates the rules and regulations, do report it to the relevant authorities.
