The 34-year-old woman who was nearly kidnapped by her stalker in Johor Bahru was allegedly told by the police to drive the suspect to the station to lodge a report.
During the media conference on Friday (December 27), Ms Wen said that she lodged the initial report at the Setia Indah Police Station, where the officer told her to go to the Larkin Police Station to meet the investigation officer.
However, Ms Wen said the officer allegedly told her to give the suspect a ride since they were headed to the same place.
Wen and Chen were both at the Setia Indah Police Station, but when the police allegedly told her to give Chen a ride, the man was having a drink at the Mamak restaurant next to the station.
Wen refused to give Chen a ride, but she was left dumbfounded when the police allegedly told her,
“Go and tell him that he has to go to the Larkin police station to see the investigating officer.”
The victim eventually met with the investigating officer at the Larkin Police Station, but it is unsure if Chen eventually made his way there.
“I have friends on both sides”
During the press conference, Wen also revealed that Chen used to remind her about his capabilities.
“I have friends in the force and in the criminal underworld. I am not afraid to be investigated.”
In a report by China Press, the Chief Police of the South Johor District confirmed that they had received the reports about the matter, and would respond with a detailed progress of the investigation later.
