Startup companies are never easy as it takes a lot of effort and time to grow. That being said, management may find ways to cut cost in hopes that they could reach their goals in the shortest amount of time possible.
Just recently a woman has shared her experience working at her current company in a Facebook group where she said,
“I’m currently working at a company that has about 15 employees in total. We are asked to take turns to wash the toilet.”
She explained that each employee will take turns to wash the toilet every week, so it’ll take about 3 months for it to circle back. She then mentioned that there’s an aunty in her office who is unwilling to do so.
“Every time when it’s her turn to wash the toilet, she will give plenty of excuses and say that she’s only here to work and her job scope should not include washing the office toilet”, she added.
She ended her post asking netizens what she should say to the aunty every time she refuses to wash the toilet.
Her post then garnered over 300 comments from netizens and here’s what some of them said:
“The companies I was in never had this issue, we had cleaners come in to help us with the cleaning.”
“Shouldn’t there be someone who helps with the cleaning?”
“When you apply a job, make sure to check if cleaning is part of the responsibility, if it isn’t then you can argue, if it is then you can’t shame your boss for it.”
“If you don’t want to clean then don’t use the toilet.”
“If you can’t even clean the toilets, how could you do your job well?”
