As social media users, it’s undeniable that emojis have become a significant part of our lives when it comes to texting. Emojis are able to help us communicate better and sometimes help with the loss of words.
Just recently, a woman from Hong Kong has shared her thoughts about guys using emojis and it pissed her off! In her post, she said,
“Guys who use emojis like these are seriously so gross. I’m not saying this just to spite guys but as I’m talking to this guy, and he uses these 4 emojis that pisses me off.”

She mentioned in her post that she doesn’t understand why guys would choose to use these emojis.
“It’s so weird to see him use these and it makes me annoyed. We’re not even that close but when he messages me every day, he would use these emojis”, she added.
Then she shared an example of the way this guy would communicate with her:
“There was a time when we were texting, and I told him that I was going to get my nails done and he replied with [?]. What was that supposed to mean? Occasionally he would send me emojis like [?] as well. It sends shivers down my spine when I see him text me with emojis like these.”
She then ended the post saying that occasionally she wouldn’t understand the context of the emojis used but doesn’t know how to tell him so she would sometimes leaves him on seen.
Following her post, many netizens commented on her post suggesting that the reason why the guy is using so much emojis when texting her is because he has feelings for her.
“He obviously has feelings for you ~ hurry up and get together already.”
However, some netizens were also confused as to why there has to be some sort of “guide” or “restriction” when it comes to using emojis.
“But if you just type and not use emojis, it could easily mean something else. Is this what life has become? That men can’t even use emojis?”
