Aloha! Miss being in a different country? Now you can have a taste of Hawaii right here in Sunway City!
The Resort Café at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa has decided to give diners and visitors a new dining experience. They have decided to bring Hawaii (and more) to you! Every Sunday, The Resort Cafe will be hosting the “Tiki-Licious Sunday Brunch” a buffet-to-you dining where a wide selection of cuisines from all around the world will be served amidst a festive, vibrant and fun Lūʻau-inspired set-up, incorporating unique features that are designed for the well-being of diners and families.
WORLD OF BUZZ recently had the pleasure of being invited to this rather festive brunch and we were amazed with the service, food choices and the overall ambience.
The Hawaiian Ambience
Right at the entrance, you will notice the amount of effort put into the decor to bring the Hawaiian experience for diners. Guests will be greeted by two giant Tiki masks and friendly servers in Hawaiian and Mexican outfits. You will also see a beach lounger with sun umbrella welcoming diners for not just a brunch escapade, but also a beach vacation ambience that the whole family can enjoy. And what’s a beach experience without a refreshing beverage! After entering the restaurant, we were immediately welcomed with a very refreshing lemon-lime mocktail.
Inside, The Resort Café was transformed into a Lūʻau-inspired set-up with Island Music and popular Hawaiian songs playing in the background throughout the brunch offering. The entire ambience definitely put us in the right mood for brunch. Throughout the brunch, there were exciting and interesting activities and entertainment lined up for guests including performances by the staff and servers. Kids above 6 years old were also entertained with cupcake decoration, Lūʻau dancing and more.
A Global Menu
The gastronomic journey begins with starters, where Caesar Salad with condiments tossed in a large Cheese Wheel was pushed around the restaurant on a trolley. A choice of Chinese Double-boiled soup or Western Soup of the day will also be offered. The best part about the brunch is the selection of food from all over the world so there’s definitely something for everyone. What’s more, it will all be served to you at your table!

A Tiki-Licious Experience!
Overall, we had a splendid time. Our favourite parts were certainly the ambience. We highly suggest dressing up to take plenty of photos with the props and decor. And if you are looking to celebrate a birthday or simply a family gathering, this is a perfect place to do so (there were at least 3 birthday parties while we were there).
Another favourite part of this brunch is definitely the variety of food and the fact that you get it all under one roof. And it’s all served to you! It certainly felt like a beach ‘holiday’.
