It’s 2023 and unfortunately, we’re still seeing irresponsible drivers on the road who happily skip paying tolls, putting the safety of other road users at stake.

Just today (January 21), a Malaysian woman, Fiza shared a TikTok video that shows an irresponsible driver who tailgates her car at a toll. Fiza’s husband was driving the car at the moment, and he immediately knew that the driver intended to skip paying the toll.

This is because when Fiza’s husband was a few hundred metres away from the toll, the irresponsible driver was already at the side, waiting for the perfect time to tailgate a car that needed to pass through the toll. Well, it was unfortunate for the driver, because Fiza’s husband knew what exactly the driver at the back had in his mind.

Fiza’s husband purposely took his sweet time at the toll booth and drove slowly to stop the driver behind from skipping the toll. The driver at the back was persistent, he did not give up. In fact, he continued to tailgate and even honked at Fiza’s husband!

“He doesn’t want to pay the toll! Where is the guard?!” Fiza’s husband tried to alert the people at the toll booth.

This time, the driver at the back lost his patience, and he decided to come out of the car. When he opened the door, Fiza’s husband immediately sped off and the barrier came down, leaving the driver stuck at the toll booth.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Fiza said that the incident took place at the Lagong toll in Sungai Buloh. It took place last December but Fiza only had the time to share the video today.

“He did not manage to catch up. He was stuck at the toll booth,” Fiza told WORLD OF BUZZ.

“What a satisfaction”

Her husband’s brilliant move to stop the driver at the back from skipping the toll has received praise from many Malaysians, who expressed major satisfaction at what they saw.

“Thank you for doing this. I’m the one feeling the satisfaction here.”

“It pisses me off to see people doing this, but I’m so satisfied. Good job!”

“The best! What a satisfaction to see him stuck there.”

It doesn’t matter what are your reasons, but skipping the toll fares is never the right thing to do. Keep in mind that it is an offence and if caught by the toll booth officers, you are expected to settle the outstanding amount. Think and act wisely, and consider the safety of other road users if you have that selfish thought in your mind.
