Norazian Mohd Joned, the wife of the late Corporal Amiruddin Zabri—one of the nine FRU officers who tragically died in the May 13 crash—says she holds no anger toward the lorry driver involved.
“To us, it was just his time,” said the 38-year-old. “Maybe that was how Allah chose to take him. We don’t blame the driver.”

She shared that her husband had once spoken about how meaningful it was when people prayed for those who passed away in tragic circumstances. He had been especially moved by the 2018 incident where six firemen drowned during a rescue mission.
“He said they had a good death—so many people prayed for them. Maybe deep down, he hoped for something like that too.”
Norazian recalled speaking to her husband’s body during the journey from Teluk Intan to Ipoh.
“I told him, ‘B, you used to say you admired those firemen. Now look—people across Malaysia are praying for you.’”
She also remembered him talking about a man who passed away after Friday prayers, saying, “When it’s your time, nothing can stop it. Everything else is just the way it happens.”

On May 13, the devastating road accident claimed the lives of nine Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) personnel, including Corporal Amiruddin Zabri. The officers were en route to a deployment when their vehicle was involved in a fatal collision with a tipper lorry.
Our deepest condolences go out to the family.
