We are now in the final week of 2022 and that could only mean one thing: Holiday! With many people utilising what’s left of their non-carry forward annual leaves and schools being on holiday, roads leading to tourist attractions in Malaysia are now jam-packed.

In fact, the roads to our country from neighbouring countries are packed too, as foreign tourists are also taking advantage of the festive period to enjoy a holiday in Malaysia. Take this viral video from the Brunei-Sabah border for example.

Recorded on Friday (23 December 2022), the video was recorded from inside a vehicle that was travelling in the opposite direction and showed super-long queues of Brunei-registered cars going to the immigration checkpoint at the Sabah border. Shared by Reddit user u/DuaSen on the r/Brunei subreddit, most of the comments on the thread were about how crazy the traffic was to get into Sabah from Brunei.

You can watch the full video here:

In the video, the queue of cars to the Sabah immigration was non-stop throughout the 2 minutes 30-second drive that the original poster recorded. Of course, the one-lane road definitely doesn’t help with the traffic and you can actually hear the individual recording the video complaining about the fact. While it was not confirmed in the video, it is believed that the 3 people who were heard talking in the video are Bruneians.

So, what do you guys think of the long queue of Bruneians going to Sabah this holiday season? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
