If you have driven a car before or been someone’s passenger, chances are you have seen someone road raging; and it is not a pretty sight.
Driving can be stressful, bringing out the worst in us drivers. But it doesn’t always have to be that way; sometimes, a little bit of patience and tolerance can make someone’s day.
It can give rise to heartwarming gestures of appreciation, such as one driver who recently thanked another driver in an unusual way for letting them pass at a junction.
The unusual gesture
In a video shared on the Facebook page, Perak Press, dashcam footage of a car shows the driver in front of it making a little finger heart gesture to thank them for letting them go first at the junction.
How cute is that?!
As the driver of the silver car drove past, they wound down their window to hold out a hand, asking the owner of the dashcam footage to let them pass first.
As the car turned, the hand turned into a little heart shape, signalling the driver’s appreciation.
Netizens are entertained
The cute incident has gained the approval of netizens, who praised both drivers for their civility and tolerance.
“This is how it’s supposed to be. If you’re having difficulties crossing, wind down your window and hold up a hand. Someone will definitely give way to you.”
However, most of the netizens are more preoccupied with the question of whether the driver is a man or a woman.
Those who said it was probably a man said, “Women will never lift their hands off the steering wheel. It’s definitely a man.”
Whereas some of the ladies in the comments section defended themselves, saying women are not the only ones who keep both of their hands on the wheel.
“Nice of you guys to talk sh*t about women. In reality, guys have both hands on the steering wheel too. I always hold up my hand to say thank you and have only one hand on the steering wheel. It’s normal.”
