With the convenience that the Internet and smartphone apps have given us, we now do most things at home, heck, some of us even work at home! This hungry Malaysian (Baliami Conmigo) was feeling kinda lazy to go and get food, so he just ordered 2 pieces of fried chicken from a food delivery service, as shared in a now-viral Facebook post.
After placing the order, the delivery rider called Mr Baliami and asked which floor he was staying on since there was an elevator problem. The rider was on the 13th floor while Mr. Baliami was staying on the 14th.
When the rider reached his doorstep, Mr. Baliami was very shocked to see that he only had 1 leg and was using crutches the whole time. He wrote in the post, “So, the rider arrived in front of my house, and I was shocked with his limitations, and all for the sake of delivering two pieces of chicken.”
Nak buat story sikit ?Macam biasalah time weekend je, malas nak turun bawah cari makan, duduk Flat ni tingkat dia bukan kaleng2 14 tau ?Terdetik dihati, ketik ketik terus sampai, apa tu? Tak foodpanda, grab food tu je lah, sebab musim sekarang ni jarang makan nasi ?, so tergerak hati nak Order mcd, mcd area danau kota ade je, tp close order awl sgt, so terpaksa order mcd jauh sikit mcd bhp melawati, lebih kurang 45 minit mcm tu ?Mcd tu order biase2 je ala carte, sebab nak makan dan malas nak turun kat bawah, so kena tunggu je lah ?Tunggu punya tunggu, akhirnya sampai lah Abe foodpanda kat bawah tu tunggu lif, sebelum tu dia call dulu, nak confirmation kan, kan tersilap Block menangis tak berlagu ? sebab sy punya rumah Block E ?Lepas tu, Abe foodpanda call kali ke 2..F : Bang, bang duk tingkat berapa? Sebab sekarang ni saya duk tingkat 13. ?Aku : kito duk tikak (tingkat) 14 boh! Boh cari nomor rumoh 12 deh lik kiri hujung sekali ? (bahasa Kelantan)F: laa ye ke? Jadi saya kena naik tangga lg satu la ni, xpe2 tunggu jap bang ?Aku: ehh xpe je..Nak dijadikan cerita, sampai la Abe foodpanda tu depan pintu rumah aku, aku terkejut kot, dgn serba kedaifan nya, kekurangan anggota semata mata nak hantar punya makanan just 2 ketul ayam kot ?F: sorry bang lambat sikit, masalah lif kat bawah tadi??Aku : ehh xpo bey, biaso lah tu ?F: Abang td order mcd kan, semua rm11. 89Aku: jap eaAku pergi amik duit, dan terdetik rasa sebak, pilu, terharu sedih tgk Abe tu, just aku bagi lebih kat dia ? The rider then apologised profusely because he was a little late. Mr. Baliami, overwhelmed by emotion, then handed the payment over to the rider and gave him some extra cash as a tip. The rider then told Mr. Baliami that the tip was way too much but was forced to accept.
Mr. Baliami concluded the post by sending all of us a message which says, “There are so many people out there that are working hard to support their families. People with special needs are even stronger than us while we are still choosy and lazy. Aren’t we all ashamed of ourselves?” PREACH!
We hope that the abang gets a raise for all the hard work that he does despite his condition.
