As Hari Raya is coming up, plenty of local fashion brands are now commencing their advertising and marketing efforts to promote their products.

One brand that is at the forefront of innovative advertising efforts is Malaysian baju melayu brand ‘Bulan Bintang’ which became the first local brand to have a 3d advertisement on one of the biggest digital billboards in KL last year.

It appears that the local brand has done it once again as they recently had their fashion show which featured a horde of drones.

The event which was held at the KL tower recently went viral for its record breaking ‘Takes The Sky’ show which costed RM2 million!

Record breaker

In an interview with Harian Metro, Bulan Bintang founder Azzim Zahid Azmi said that the show was successfully listed in the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) for the Most Drones Used In A Light Show.

“We want to do something different that has never been done in any fashion show. This drone formation was specially brought from the United Kingdom,” he explained.

“I was inspired after seeing the greatness of this drone formation while on vacation abroad. From what I can conclude, the cost for this alone costed 80% of the total cost.”

According to him, the event was also enlivened with ‘projection mapping’ or video mapping which is a new technology that takes the audience to a different dimension and provides an unforgettable experience.

The projection which was mapped on the KL Tower displayed gimmicks and also the names of the types of collections on display.

In addition, the show features a line-up of celebrity ambassadors such as Shukri Yahaya, Sharnaaz Ahmad, Nadhir Nasar, Beto Kusyairy, Hannah Delisha and Daiyan Trisha.

In an Instagram post, he wrote, “For the first time in history, we organised a fashion show. After 8 years the brand’s establishment.”

“For the Bulan Bintang family throughout Malaysia, I hope that what we presented is something that makes all of you proud. I hope your decision to join this small family will be the best decision you have ever made,” he added.

“Hopefully what we brought will inspire a lot of people out there. Everything that happened yesterday started from a small dream. Don’t be afraid to dream. Let the dream reach Bulan Bintang.”
