In a match between Malaysia and Jamaica at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England, shuttler Samuel Rickets suffered a wardrobe malfunction during his match with Ng Tze Yong – as the sole of his shoes came undone.

Wanting to help his opponent out, both Ng Tze Yong and coach Hendrawan handed him his own pair, after Ricketts’ earlier pairs did not fit him well.

Here is a video of both teams helping Ricketts out.

This, of course, won admiration for both Tze Yong and Hendrawan from the badminton fraternity.

The Jamaican then waved at Tze Yong and Hendrawan in appreciation, before losing the match 21-12, 21-16.
