Desperate times call for desperate measures, some would say, but there is almost never an excuse for anybody to steal from another person! After all, the law will almost always catch up with you, sometimes sooner than you think!

In a recent video uploaded by Twitter user @999Malaysia, a group of men can be seen assisting policemen in apprehending a would-be burglar who was attempting to break into a vacant home. The incident occurred in what appears to be a new housing development located in Gelang Patah, Johor.

In the video, one policeman can be seen chasing after the burglar as the man tries to make a run for it from the porch of the empty house. Despite each house being divided by a pretty high fence, the burglar managed to do a good job of hurdling over them! Damn, that’s a neat trick!

He was quick enough to jump through the porches of two houses before reaching a corner lot leading out towards a street, but unfortunately did not move fast enough to avoid the group of men who were already waiting for him on the other side. Oops! Where do you think you’re going?

After all that Olympic-grade sprinting and leaping, the suspect wound up being caught and hauled in by the police. He probably should have not underestimated how efficient Malaysians can be when we work together! The video has since been viewed over 11.8k times.

Let this be a reminder to everyone that crime does not pay! You can’t outrun the law!
