Siti Nurhaliza is probably one of our nation’s best-kept treasures. She is also someone that all Malaysians regardless of their age or race, recognise.

Just when we think that we’ve seen all sides of the famous songbird, she showed us something else on 28 January at AR Rahman’s concert.

During a segment of the concert, Indian music composer and singer, AR Rahman invited our very own Siti Nurhaliza on stage.

When she made her appearance on stage, the crowd cheered her on loudly, especially during her small speech before the performance.

The moment she sang the first line in Tamil, the audience erupted and quickly joined her in singing the rest of the hook.

The song she was singing was ‘Munbe Vaa’ and performing the other part of the duet was Indian artist Haricharan.

Datuk Siti Nurhaliza was able to sing all of the parts with incredible precision without even wavering once.

We can surely say that the audience was captivated by her stage charisma and her near-perfect enunciation of the Tamil lyrics!

“There’s no need to prove anything else, she’s really unbeatable. Always the best singer in Malaysia,” one netizen commented.

The concert lasted about more than 3 hours and was attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail along with Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil and the High Commissioner of India to Malaysia, B. N. Reddy, reported BERNAMA.

We were so mesmerised when we watched the video of Siti Nurhaliza singing ‘Munbe Vaa’ that we just kept replaying it. You can watch the full video here!
