In a video that has gone viral on Facebook, a frontliner in Shah Alam has been spotted helping a puppy which was trapped in a monsoon drain! Awww! The video has 14k shares and 4k comments just 5 hours after being uploaded!
The video starts off with the abang polis trying to pat the black puppy’s head. Just when the officer inches forward to try and pick it up, the puppy scampers away. Then, we hear the frontliner say that the drain smells like faeces but that doesn’t deter him from trying to save the cute doggo.
He tried his best to calm the anxious puppy and when he saw that the puppy has begun wagging its tail, he gently pulled it towards him and took him in both hands. He then carried it up (Lion King-style) and set it down on the grass where the little dog reunites with, presumably, its parents. The two adult dogs wag their tails while they sniff the young one.
The police officer then climbs up from the monsoon drain and the canine family surrounds him as if telling him ‘thank you’!
Netizens have expressed their gratitude and are saying that he is a hero who has a beautiful heart and soul.
We would like to thank the abang polis for doing what he does! For the rest of us, if you see any strays, please be sure to feed them as they are probably famished. Other than that, don’t forget to stay home, stay clean and stay safe!
