The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has denied allegations that there was a bomb threat at a petrol station near the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) yesterday (Tuesday – April 15).
According to a report by BERNAMA, the Kuala Lumpur Police Chief, Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa, shared that his department received information in regards to an explosion involving a Proton Saga at the location in question.

“For everyone’s information, the results of the inspection show that the explosion occurred due to a car battery exploding. A police inspection report has been made under Aeropolis/1107/25,” he explained.
Harian Metro, on the other hand, reported that the car, in which the battery had exploded, belonged to an e-hailing driver who was left in shock by the incident.
The e-hailing driver has since made a police report about the explosion at the Aeropolis police station.
Prior to this, a video had gone viral online, falsely claiming that an explosion had taken place and that police had made an arrest at the scene.
