It’s Day 20 of the Movement Control Order but unfortunately, some people still fail to understand the basic concept of what the MCO is about. It’s not a holiday, it’s not time for you to meet your friends nor is it time for you to go for a stroll in the park. It’s an essential move by the government to flatten the curve which can contain the Covid-19 outbreak.

Everyone’s aware of the multiple roadblocks held by the police and military to avoid people going out unnecessarily. However, we received a video of a Malaysian girl who not only deliberately disobeyed the MCO but also made a TikTok video of her “heroic struggles”.

In the video, it the girl was explaining that she’s hiding in the boot of the car to avoid detection by the authorities.

“Actually, only one person can leave the house but I need to help my friend. She’s getting a lot of things!”

There are so many things flawed with her logic beginning with her reason to disobey the MCO. If her friend wants to get a lot of things, maybe she shouldn’t since you’re only supposed to get your basic needs. Also, WHY WOULD YOU RECORD YOURSELF BREAKING THE LAW?!?

She even complained about how cramped it was and that it was extra warm in the boot. Maybe, then she should’ve taken the hint?

Our country is gaining international recognition for the excellent way we’re handling the Covid-19 pandemic. Let’s not ruin it by doing foolish things just for the sake of clout.
