Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has opened up about BERSIH’s ‘report card‘ on his administration’s performance in conjunction with the MADANI government’s 2nd anniversary (November 24).

According to a report by Sinar Harian, he said that it is still too early to assess the performance of the Unity Government’s Cabinet members, though he is optimistic that the government he leads will achieve a better grade than the ‘D’ that BERSIH bestowed upon him.

Using school examinations as a reference, he said, “About BERSIH (The Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections) giving us a D, it’s okay that they gave us a D, it’s not an F. (If we) get a D for UPSR, tomorrow for SPM we will get an A, God willing. (This government) is still new.”

Prior to this, BERSIH took to their ‘report card’ to rank Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in 3rd place among the past 5 Prime Ministers, including Ismail Sabri at the top spot, (PH-era) Mahathir Mohamad in 2nd place, Muhyiddin Yassin coming in 4th and Najib Razak getting last place.

BERSIH also ultimately gave the Unity Government a D grade, with a 45.8% score based on their assessment.
