Taking to social media, a tourist called out an unlicenced street vendor for confronting tourists near Bukit Bintang.
“This illegal seller right here is being super disrespectful to the tourists coming here,” said the tourist.
“This is my fiancée’s first time in Kuala Lumpur, and this guy started going off on everybody, including her—telling her to get off her phone, saying we’re not allowed to film on the streets, and even telling us to go home. He was cussing us out, man.”
“Imagine if it’s your first time in Malaysia… people like this give the country a bad name,” he added.

“If anyone’s in charge of issuing business licenses—this guy? He doesn’t deserve to have one.”
He then showed footage of how he and his fiancée were treated that day.
“I was just amazed by everything, especially that little street… that cute spot where vendors were selling all kinds of stuff.”
He added, “She was just filming a Labubu before this guy went off on her and a few other tourists.”
In his video, he showed how a man selling piercings behaved in a way that did not reflect how one should treat guests.
Later, the seller uploaded a video in response, retaliating against the original post.
“We value our customers’ privacy rather than catering to you and your content that belittles our business. Remember, you can’t do as you please wherever you go—we value our privacy.”
Netizens commenting on the video speculated that the seller might have been operating an illegal business or one without proper permits.
