In a viralled video that took social media by storm, the Klang district police have reprimanded a van driver and a motorcyclist for interfering with an ambulance on its way to the hospital.

The 2-minute video saw both individuals attempting to stop the vehicle, after appearing perturbed by the ambulance speeding to the emergency room.

Here is a video of the incident.

In the beginning of the video, the ambulance drivers shared: “When exiting a junction, this van tailgated us, despite giving the driver warning to not drive closely behind the ambulance.”

The ambulance was transporting a dialysis patient to the hospital circa 2.30pm, 24th March 2022.

But their story does not end there.

At another junction, a motorcyclist tried to stop the ambulance, and began hurling obscenities, when the ambulance stopped to see what the commotion was all about.

“The man even swung his helmet at us, attempting to damage our ambulance, to show just how angry he was.”

After both vehicles attempted to block the ambulance, they had no choice but to make their way to the nearest police station.

According to Asst. Commissioner Cha Hoong Fong, the police will investigate the matter under Section 279 and 341 of the penal code for reckless driving and impeding traffic.

“Our investigation has found that both individuals do not have prior records and is currently under police remand.”

Let’s all be a little considerate of our front liners, ok? They have a job to do!
