He added that these tickets can be purchased at any KTMB counters and it’s subjected to terms and conditions which are stated on their website. Mohd Rani further explained that the promotion is a token of appreciation for loyal ETS passengers as well as to encourage more people to utilise their service.
He revealed that KTMB may extend the promotion if they get good responses within the months of November and December 2018. Mohd Rani was quoted as saying,
“In 2019, ETS will introduce a better and interesting concept in conjunction with the initiatives to encourage the use of public transportation by the government.”
He said that ETS had 16 services per day for travel routes between KL and Ipoh when it was first introduced on 12 August 2010. Not only that, it had an average of 1,500 passengers who used their services in a day.
Today, it has expanded its services with more routes between the Southern Sector and the Northern Sector. Mohd Rani stated that now, ETS has 36 services with an average of 12,000 passengers per day. Wow!
