A tour guide in China recently went viral for criticising tourists who didn’t spend, calling them sh*t.

The tour guide, Deng was NOT happy that the the tourists only spent less than RM600, which caused her to lose a lot of money.

“You are all so old. I don’t know what’s wrong with you. You are embarrassing the people of Taiyuan (where the tour group was from).”

Deng also shouted at the group of innocent tourists, saying,

“If you spend money, you are God! If you don’t, you’re sh*t!”

The Culture and Tourism Bureau of Shibei District, Qingdao City, issued a statement this morning (August 11), stating that in response to the video circulated online, they had immediately set up an investigation team for the matter.

The next step will be to deal with it per the law based on the investigation results.

Deng also told those who hopped on the bus empty-handed to return to the store and buy at least 1,000 – 2000 yuan (RM644- RM1,288) worth of things before leaving.

The Culture and Tourism Bureau also found out that Deng is an unlicensed tour guide. Her license was revoked in 2023 and she has not applied for a renewal since.
