Whenever Malaysians are away from home, there’s a universal aspect of our culture that we miss as a collective, aside from our families and friends of course, and that has to be our local food.

Well, to all Malaysians in London, we may have found a piece of home for you if you’re craving a good local dish but are unsure of where to go. A UK content creator and foodie named Melissa, who goes by @melineko1315 online, recently shared an experience of the food she tried at a Malaysian restaurant called Java Fusion, which is located at 102 Churchfield Road in London, England.

In a succinct TikTok clip, Melissa revealed that the food at the restaurant is all halal, and comparatively cheaper than other restaurants that serve similar items one may find around the city. Providing some background about the restaurant, Melissa stated that Jaya Fusion is a family owned restaurant which focuses on creating authentic Malaysian food.

“Obviously we got some classic stuff like their roti with some chicken curry. But for their nasi lemak, the chicken itself, was among the best Malaysian fried chicken I have ever had,” said Melissa in the video.

Voicing her opinion on a laksa dish served in the restaurant, Melissa stated that the item beats all the spots in Central London that serve a similar dish due to how creamy and flavourful it was.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Melissa stated that every main dish she tried from Jaya Fusion was GBP9 (approximately RM54), while the starters were anywhere between GBP5 to GBP9 (approximately RM30 to RM54). As for the drinks, each beverage was priced around GBP4 to GBP6 (approximately RM24 to RM36).

Receiving immense praise online for finding the eatery, many Malaysians, some who are currently in London as well, expressed their delight over how authentic the dishes Java Fusion served looked. Some even said that they plan to visit the restaurant soon.

Wow! I might trek this down for nasi kerabu,” wrote one user.
