Saying yes to more eco-friendly content and initiatives to help mother nature!

“Fueled by mother nature, back to mother nature,” soapan.santun is a Shah Alam-based environmentally friendly shop that transforms your used cooking oil into soaps that smell, look, and feel amazing.

According to one of the shop’s TikTok videos, the cooking oil went through the saponification process, converting fat or oil into soap. The cooking oil bottles are then cleaned with their very own soap product for further recycling.

Nevertheless, not all of their products are made with used cooking oil, they do utilise other oils such as sunflower oil and extra virgin oil as well. Other than soaps, the shop also offers shampoo, and balm that treats eczema.

Sticking to its motto, soapan.santun also makes good use of recycled and reused boxes and parcel bags. The shop’s official Instagram and Tiktok accounts update other eco-friendly content such as visiting the recycling centre and tutorials on saponification from time to time, make sure to check them out!

One thing that attracted our attention is none other than their beautiful looking soap and shampoo bars. Some of them even look like edible cakes, so gorgeous!

Who would have thought that some of these gorgeous looking soaps are made from used cooking oil? If you are interested to support the business or to donate your used cooking oil or boxes, do reach out to soapan.santun here.

We are happy to see more and more local businesses starting to involve themselves in the zero waste community and offering more eco-friendly products and services!
