It faces Putrajaya’s lake and the design within the mosque comes from various different cultures like Malay, indigenous, and Middle Eastern. It is open to non-Muslims for visits but with a strict dress code. Non-Muslim male visitors should avoid wearing shorts or sleeveless shirts and non-Muslim female visitors should avoid wearing shorts, sleeveless shirts or blouses, and skirts or dresses that do not cover the knees. But fret not, because the mosque provides pink robes at their robe counter visitors can loan, if you accidentally break the rules.
Besides the excellent architecture, there is plenty to do around the mosque, like recreational activities. Visitors can skateboard, fly kites, ride a bicycle, or even go for a jog. It is just a 35 minute drive from Kuala Lumpur, and you get to see its magnificent structure reflected on the lake in the evenings, at sunset.
