Looking for a job can be challenging especially when you have to compete with the vast number of graduates sharing similar or higher qualifications than you. More often than not, the one thing that sets you apart from the rest is how you promote yourself to potential employers.

About two weeks ago, a man by the name of Azril Hakim went to LinkedIn to find a new job, just like anyone else would.

However, Azril’s approach was a bit different and creative compared to the typical postings you’d see on the employment-oriented platform and the risk that he took paid off as his post has gone viral.

Taking a humourous spin on his application post, he wrote,

“Hi, I’m looking for an interviewer to fill this seat.”

Currently, his post on LinkedIn raked in 15,289 likes and 874 comments and had received positive remarks as well as a few requests for his CV. What’s even more amazing is people from huge corporations even took notice of his post and started offering him jobs!

We are very impressed and inspired by Azril’s out-of-the-box approach, and Malaysian job seekers should take some pointers on standing out from the crowd. Kudos to him for his creativity, and with all the attention he has gotten from the post, hopefully, he will be able to find the career that he is looking for.
