For one mum in Malaysia, all it took was an interest in cooking, and the desire to share her recipes with the rest of the world through her camera, which has led to a booming YouTube channel with over 119,000 subscribers on May 6.
In just less than a month, a quick check reveals that she jumped to 328,000 subscribers!
This is Ms S.Pavithra, Malaysia’s newest cooking YouTube sensation!
Despite only starting her YouTube career on 29th January this year, Ms Pavithra has already become a household name among many local Malaysians for her easy, delicious recipes and clear explanation of each step that goes into creating them.
This is made all the more enjoyable by her fluency in Bahasa Malaysia, which many of her viewers have praised her for. If we didn’t know any better, we would have thought that Ms Pavithra was a professional television host!
On top of that, Ms Pavithra also shares glimpses of her home life with her husband and kids, who can be seen enjoying her cooking. It’s scenes of family life like this that truly reminds us what it means to be with our own families during times like the MCO we have just experienced.
To date, Ms Pavithra has uploaded over 70 videos on her YouTube channel, with a total view count of almost 5 million views.
Her highest viewed video has racked up as many as 492,000 views alone!
