Here’s your daily dose of fluff — a mother cat in Kyushu, Japan, trying her very best to shield her kittens from the rain.

The rainy season had struck Kyushu recently, causing many people to lose their homes because of the flooding. But besides humans, animals were also suffering as they had nowhere to run to avoid the rain and floods.

A Japanese Twitter user, Babariku (@yLOedElQfsyMXmK) shared a series of photos that he took while he was on the way to school.

According to Sin Chew Daily, while school was cancelled because of the heavy rain and floods, Babariku had to visit his school to handle some critical issues.

He noticed an adorable cat hiding under a bike to avoid the rain, and it made him grow curious as he took a closer look.

It turns out that the cat was protecting her two kittens with her arms! ?

Imagine how terrified they were from the downpour and floods.
