Festivities are joyous occasions that should e celebrated with the whole family and close friends.
On the first day of Hari Raya, Yana Najib posted a video on her Instagram account with the caption saying that Hari Raya this year is different for her family.
“Every year we celebrate Hari Raya with the beloved family but this year is different for us as we need to go through Raya without my father.”
“Yana misses coming together as a family to celebrate Raya,” she continued.
The daughter of the former prime minister also said that Raya this year is meaningless to her family as her dad is in jail.
“This Raya is meaningless for the family as daddy would have been with us but now he has to celebrate by himself in prison.”
Adding to that, Yana Najib says that she would want to meet her daddy, even for a little bit on the first day of Raya. In the video, she mentions:
“I miss him. This feeling of longing is indescribable. I hope to be given a chance to see him, to spend a little time with him.”
She then wishes Bossku’s followers “Selamat Hari Raya.”
Some netizens in the comments felt bad for her while others said that Najib needs to pay for his crimes.
“It’s okay, Nurul Izzah and her siblings have gone through it. There will be a time when you can reunite as a family for Raya again. Keep praying as this is Allah’s test that many are also going through.”
“If your father did not do anything then he could have had Raya with you this year.”
