While all of us are under isolation in our own homes and feeling the effects of boredom kick in, there is probably one member of your family that is the happiest they have ever been.
Your doggo!
A story that can prove this is one from Emma Smith from Essex, England who shared on Twitter that her pet dog had to be taken to the vet when she realised his tail had stopped working.
This was because Rolo, a Dachshund, had sprained his tail from wagging it too much because he was just so happy that everyone was at home!
Aiyo, so cute!
“So my dog has been so happy that everyone is home for quarantine, that his tail has stopped working, so we went to the vet and the vet said he had sprained his tail from excessively wagging it,” Emma shared.
Rolo immediately gained fame on the Internet as the original tweet has since garnered about 140,000 retweets and one million likes at the time of writing.
Emma then shared a video of Rolo saying:
“Didn’t expect this happen. For those asking, he is currently on pain relief and the vet said he should be healed within a week, this is him on the 2nd day.”
“He is super happy and there is now movement from side to side but he is struggling to lift it up in the air.”

Many netizens sent their well wishes and pictures of their own dogs with similar injuries to Rolo’s.
“This has happened with my dog several times. It’s very adorable but also a little sad,” one user said.
“Omg! I’m so glad he is okay! My Labrador had this injury too, she’s so excitable and her tail goes round and round like a helicopter, we had to spend weeks trying to keep her as calm as possible because literally every time she sees someone she’s just like OMG! HUMAN! HI!” another user wrote.
Well, if there’s one good thing that happened because of the Covid-19 outbreak, it’s the worldwide happiness of all doggies. They definitely deserve having their hoomans around them!
