Whether you are a cat person or a dog person, you’ll definitely have a soft spot in helping out our furry four-legged friends.

The reality is there is also a handful of us who are cruel towards these innocent animals, and it is up to us to ensure they are treated with care and fairness.

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better (MDDB), a canine welfare project is doing their part, and they need your help!

They require donations of funds and dog food so that they can continue rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing abandoned dogs.

The adoption coordinator, Christine Lai established her passion for helping dogs early. It began when she started helping her mom to feed stray dogs and cats all around their home in SS2, Petaling Jaya.

Now, she goes out every Sunday to find new homes for the abandoned dogs that she rescues. Currently, there are 165 dogs at the shelter.

“It is literally a nightmare for us every end of the month as it is time for us to pay rentals, utilities, veterinary bills, food bills and volunteer allowances.”
