The Malaysia Book of Records (MBR) has certified five-year-old Thashan Dubashan as the youngest person to solve a Rubik’s Cube in just two minutes!
Born and raised in Klang, Thashan set the record for completing a 2×2 cube in 50 seconds, and a 3×3 cube in 2 minutes. His mother, Hashaa Devi, had trained him for a total duration of eight days prior to the event.
The event which took place on 23 March 2021, was witnessed by his proud parents and MBR officials.
A video of the event that was shared by Thashan’s father, Dubashan, shows Thashan completing the 2x2x2 Rubik’s Cube as he comfortably sits in his mother’s lap for support.
According to Dubashan, despite being young, Thashan speaks and responds more like a 10-year-old instead of a five-year-old.
He added that Thashan plans to break more records in the future, with cubes such as the 4×4, 5×5 and other types of cubes.
