With a hung parliament, most of us are on the edge of our seats waiting for the news of new coalitions forming to build a new government. Many statements were issued but there is still no solid conclusion.
In a Facebook post by Yana Najib on the evening of 20 November, she conveys her father’s thoughts after a family meeting.
“If BN needs to negotiate with any coalitions to solve the problem of a hung parliament and form the government, the negotiations should take into account the long-term interests of UMNO and BN and not just momentary interests.”
He added, “the negotiations should put aside differing sentiments and needs to consider all opinions of BN parliamentary members who won during this GE15.”
Besides talking about business, the former prime minister also said he misses his friends in BN.
“Najib hopes and believes that UMNO and BN will surely rise again as they are sacred parties,” she mentioned.
“May Allah always bless our struggle.”
