It has become a common thing to see food and drink vendors attempting to separate themselves from their competition through all kinds of gimmicks. One of these gimmicks is to either wear as little as possible or, for men to go entirely shirtless.

Though, this trend doesn’t seem to be faring well with Malaysians.

The MALAYSIA MOST VIRAL Twitter page recently showcased a video of durian sellers in Kajang, where they are seen to be shirtless as they stacked durians that had apparently just arrived at their stall.

They wrote, “Even as men, there are intimate boundaries that need to be maintained. Their excuse does not make sense, other people can properly wear shirts while stacking durians. But this, everyone isn’t wearing shirts. Even when customers arrived, they were still shirtless.”

In the video showcased, the seller could be seen shirtless as they stacked durians. The sellers remained shirtless as customers arrived and walked around their stall to check out their durians.

The sellers also posed for photos and remained shirtless as they cut open some durians.

Malaysians were not to fond of the sellers’ antics and were vocal about it.

“Are they selling durians or something else? It’s just weird.”

“Malaysia these days are crazy.”

“I would feel disgusted to eat if the sellers are like that.”

“Gross.”

What do you think? Should the sellers be allowed to go shirtless as they please or should they cover up? If the sellers were to be women wearing as little clothes as possible, would there be a similar uproar?

Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
