Calling all Potterheads, this news will be music to your ears!
Ever since we were introduced to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, many of us have been wanting to set foot in that bewitching universe to live like the magical folks. Now, it looks like you may have the chance to do that, after all!
Although it’s not exactly the entire universe, you can experience bits of that wonderful world at Changi Airport, Singapore. Yup, you read that right.

Changi Airport is bringing the Wizarding World to you starting from 16 November 2018 up until February 2019, reported Mothership. They have stunningly recreated several pivotal scenes from the Harry Potter movies as part of their Christmas decoration. Harry Potter and Christmas? Hell yeah!
If you’re making your way to Singapore and planning to pop by, here are some of the things you can look forward to at Changi Airport this festive season.
1. Diagon Alley @ Terminal 3
This is the iconic town where Harry and other Hogwarts students shopped for their school supplies. You can take a stroll down this magical town as you relive the stories that took place in that very place.
Plus, here are some of the exciting activities you can do whilst you’re there:
- Robes Fitting and GIF Photo Experience
All you have to do is put on your Hogwarts house’s robes and click a photo in front of the Magical Photo-Taking Mirror for a nice photo op and GIF!
You will now have your very own Giphy! Yasss!
- Wand Challenge
If you think you’re better than Dumbledore at casting spells with your wand then you should definitely put your wand skills to the test. Practise and have a go at spell casting games at this station. Time to put all that spells to the test!
Just remember that it’s Wingardium LeviOsa, not LevioSAR.
- Quaffle Toss
If you’re anything like us, you’d probably know more about Quidditch than any real-world sports. So, this is your chance to put your theoretical Quidditch knowledge to the test.

Practise the game by tossing balls through the hoops provided and if you’re good enough, you may just make the cut into your house’s Quidditch team.
- Niffler Challenge Game
This game is pretty easy!

Stack as many coins as you can on top of the Niffler’s statue without toppling them over. Time to up your stacking game!
2. Hogsmeade Village @ Terminal 3
TBH, this set is just #Instagoals.
You can pose in front of the Hogsmeade’s famous stores and make your Instagram feed more magical. Some of the store-fronts you can spot at this place are:
- Honeydukes
- Zonko’s Joke Shop
- Owl Post
Bonus: There’s also a life-sized version of the Hogwarts Express, which you can also pose with for a photo. Time to recreate the Epilogue of Harry Potter!
Aside from that, there will also be a snow and light show, which will last until 6 January 2019. How magical!

3. Whomping Willow @ Terminal 2
Remember the time when Mr Arthur Weasley’s car, the iconic Flying Ford Anglia, got stuck in between the Whomping Willow?

Well, you definitely shouldn’t miss the chance to take a picture in front of that iconic scene from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
While you’re at it, don’t forget to drop by Newt’s Menagerie at Terminal 1 where you can find several adorable beasts and their “treasures” as you immerse yourself into this mystical world. Don’t forget to take to some #OOTD pictures while you’re at this menagerie!
4. Wizarding World Merchandise @ Terminal 3
