Football season is upon us once again! The whole world is undeniably hyped up about one of the world’s biggest sporting events, especially Malaysian football fans – even non-football fans want to join in on the excitement!

However, did you know that every football fan has their own special way of enjoying the game? Lai, find out which one you are!

1. The die-hard fans: Missing is not an option!

This is the type of fan who MUST watch every single match, though at a huge expense to their sleeping schedule – but who needs sleep when the BIGGEST football tournament is happening right now? If they wanna be even more hardcore, they would apply leave just to catch the important matches, or apply MC if it’s a last-minute decision. ?

2. The commentators: Kiasu know-it-alls who deserve mad respect

Whether it’s at work, at home, or on social media, all these fans would talk about is! But let’s give credit where it’s due: they’re so passionate that they legit know everything, from the statistics of EVERY player to the credibility of the referee. Confirm they join those football “commentators” Facebook groups and scour football subreddits for hours.

3. The self-styled managers: Experts who live & breathe bad referee

Nobody screams “WALAOWEI REFEREE!!!” louder than the self-proclaimed managers. They’ll ALWAYS point out every bad call the referee makes, believing that they’d make better referees than the so-called professionals in the match; to be fair, due to how well they know the rules and effective game strategies, they might actually be right!

4. The wingers: Rileks with friends, food & drinks is more than enough~

Wingers may not understand football 100%, but they’re perfectly okay with that. As long as their football-loving friends are having fun and still make time to “blow water” (吹水 or “chit chat”) over some snacks and a couple of cold ones, those are enough for a good time. To amp things up, some might even go as far as to catch a live match in a pub or sports bar with their crazy-about-football friends, where the atmosphere is heavy with football exhilaration and drinks are in abundance. Sound familiar?

5. The freebie hunters: Free stuff is the best!

Watching the game simply isn’t enough for freebie hunters – they need to have football freebies too! They’re the ones who attend exclusive viewing parties not just for the ambience, but mainly to get all the awesome goodies. Whether it’s limited-edition football jerseys, bottle sleeves, or keychains, these fans will hoard it all~

If you’re looking for an equally big viewing party to unleash your football spirit with friends and other football-loving Malaysians, we have the perfect occasion just for YOU!

The more the merrier, football style!
