Several residents in the area reported hearing gunshots during the attack

In an official statement this morning (30 November), Shazeli urged the public, especially witnesses, to come forward and assist police in the investigation.

A video showing the victim unconscious in a car has circulated on social media. According to reports by Harian Metro and China Press, the victim was approached by two gunmen on a motorcycle, who fled the scene after opening fire.

The victim’s mother broke down in tears upon arriving at the scene, crying, “That’s my son!” Police and members of the public tried to console her, but authorities did not allow her to view the victim or enter the cordoned-off area.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, and police are still working to determine the motive behind the fatal attack.
