A Thai DJ was found dead in a forest area in the Muang district of the Kanchanaburi province in Thailand, after he was abducted days earlier, allegedly in relation to his apparent involvement with a drug-dealing mafia man’s girlfriend.
According to a report by Khaosod English, DJ Tatae’s disappearance went viral on Thursday (May 15) following the release of CCTV footage showcasing him being abducted on early Wednesday morning (May 14).

At that time, DJ Tatae had just finished work for a female client at a club and was on his way to meet a woman named Nittaya. During his journey, he called Nittaya and informed her that his car was being followed.
There were then sounds of DJ Tatae stopping his car and of him being dragged out of the vehicle.

DJ Tatae’s girlfriend, Premyuda, shared that before the abduction, she had warned him about his involvement with another woman named Nam. She urged him to stay away from the woman due to her connection to a drug-dealing mafia figure. He assured her that he was no longer involved with Nam.
Searching for mushrooms and finding a body
Then, on Sunday (May 18), DJ Tatae’s body was found by locals in a forest in the Muang district, with 2 gunshots to his forehead.
One of the villagers of the area was out foraging for mushrooms during rainy weather with dark skies when he discovered DJ Tatae’s legs protruding from the edge of the forest.

Frightened by the situation, he ran home and didn’t notify the police. However, after suffering from disturbing images of the dead body, the villager informed his relatives about what he saw.
The villager’s grandmother had known about DJ Tatae’s abduction from the news, leading the villager to call the police after returning to the body’s location.
DJ Tatae is believed to have been deceased for no less than 3 days upon the discovery of his body.
DJ Tatae’s father has since planned for religious rites to be conducted while hoping that the police will track down and arrest those involved in his murder.
The police, on the other hand, have arrested a suspect and are looking to detain at least 3 more individuals pending arrest warrants.
