It is common knowledge that when we rent a place, we should take care of it as we’ll be spending a lot of time there.
Recently, a property agent by the name of Alex (name changed to protect identity) had written in to WORLD OF BUZZ about a tenant that he had.
It is said that the tenant rented a studio apartment from him for a duration of 3 months and in that time, it seems that they did not clean that place at all!
“In my many years of working in this industry, I’ve never seen anyone make a mess this big before. I don’t know how they slept.”
We’re not even sure how they slept either as it looks like the bed frame has been broken in one of the pictures! And with the mountains of garbage, we do not even want to think about the stench, yucks!
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Alex said that the tenant has always been problematic but they did not expect this.
As they knew that it was a lost cause, they did not even try talking to them but just resigned themselves to cleaning up the place to be rented out again.
According to the property agent, the rental for this unit was set at RM1,200 a month which is very cheap for a whole unit.
The defeated Alex says,
“To all the tenants out there, please take care of your rented room/houses like they are your own!”
We certainly agree with that! Home is where we relax comfortably and it can only be comfortable when it’s clean and hygienic.
