Hooking up with someone and having a one-night stand these days seems to be getting more and more common so JustDating, a mobile app, did a survey on some of the sexual habits of Malaysians and they discovered some interesting results.

According to a press release that was sent to WORLD OF BUZZ, the survey was done through their app and they discovered that the average age that Malaysians would have one-night stand is 21 years old but for girls, the average age they have their first one-night stand is slightly younger, at 20. For the men, they experienced their first one-night stand when they were 22 years old.
Now, JustDating also asked those who already experienced one-night stands about the location where they first had the one-night stand and it was revealed that 37% of them did it in a car. Wah, wild night eh? Based on their survey, they found that people in Johor Bahru started having one-night stands at 19 to 20 years old for women and men respectively, which is the youngest among the other regions in Malaysia.

Johor Bahru is also the region which had the highest number of one-night stands, with 41%, which is followed by Klang Valley with 36% at second place and Penang with 21% at third place. It’s interesting to note that from the survey, most of the people who have had one-night stands met potential partners on dating apps, through friends or even with their exes.
In addition, they asked whether Malaysian men and women were more open-minded when chatting about sex on the dating app. The results showed that up to 62% of men would crack some dirty jokes on the app while 33% of the women said that they would sext with the other person and one of the questions they would frequently ask was, “How many times have you had one-night stands?”

Apparently, women asked this question because they were curious and men used it as a way to jokingly “test” whether the woman would be open to the experience as well. Further investigation of respondents who did not have one-night stands before revealed that 71% of them wanted to try it out.
Meanwhile, 64% of the female respondents said that they would prefer if their hookup was an older man while the men said that they didn’t really care about age. Moreover, 81% of the women said that they preferred if their one-night stand was in a room but in contrast, the male respondents said that they didn’t care about the location, as long as it feels right, anywhere is fine.
