Malaysia is officially seven days into the full Movement Control Order (MCO) and everyone is hoping that this lockdown will bring the number of Covid-19 cases down.

As of 7 June, Malaysia saw a drop in numbers with 5,271 cases nationwide. Could this be a glimmer of hope for the nation?

While there are some people who still refuse to comply with standard operating procedures (SOP) and are still gathering in groups for private parties, there are also those who are staying home and doing their part to curb the spread of Covid-19.

This is evident in several videos and photos of roads in Puchong that were seen almost empty with minimal vehicles on the sixth day of FMCO (6 June).

One Facebook user, Jackson Leong, shared on Puchong News Group some stunning drone shots of the area, which would usually be packed with vehicles under normal circumstances.

His post has since garnered over 1,000 shares at the time of writing and over 1,900 likes.

Although netizens claim that the roads were empty because it was a Sunday, it’s still a good sign that people are finally staying put at home instead of galivanting outside during weekends.

We hope this practice continues not only in Puchong but in every part of Malaysia so that one day, we can all go out and reunite with our loved ones once again.
