For some Malaysians, other than work, the main purpose of making the trip across the Causeway is to serve the purpose of visiting family and friends.
Others frequent Singapore because there is no denying that they have certain attractions that would appeal to us Malaysians such as shopping and seeking new thrills not available here.
Making the trip across that much easier, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore has introduced a new app, cancelling the use of the transit card effective in 2020.
Shared on johornow.com, the app named “SG Arrival Card” is aimed at easing tourists into the country without the hassle of filling out a white card and producing their passports to enter Singapore.
Here is how you can do it the next time you want to visit Singapore.
First, download the SG Arrival Card for FREE and fill in the electronic immigration care, 14 days in advance.
Secondly, fill in the trip information and submit the form prior to arrival. It is important to note that multiple trips can be included within a single submission.
Arrival in groups are also catered for in the app and it is only applicable for a single trip.
A DE number will be issued upon successful submission and all you have to do now is simply present the barcode and proceed to the process of stamping your passport.
Easy right?
Surely with the introduction of this new app, congestion when making the trip across will hopefully be lessened.
