Fathers should be their daughters’ protectors, and they play such an important role in their kids’ lives. This man did unspeakable things to his child.

A Singaporean man (age 45) who was sexually abusive towards his daughter alleged that he had a disfigured penis in an attempt to get a more lenient sentence from the court, but received an extended prison sentence instead, reported Stomp.

He was sentenced an extra four and a half years in jail for forging proof.  The man was initially sentenced to 23 and a half years in jail with 24 strokes of the cane.

The man produced a false witness during his appeal on 8th August (Thursday) to convince the court that he didn’t sexually abuse his daughter at that time due to his disfigured penis.

The court affirmed that the man’s behaviour was proof that he abused the process.

“Those who abuse the process of the court must bear the due consequences of their actions,” the court said in its judgement, which included Chief Justice Sundaresh Menon and Judges of Appeal Andrew Phang and Tay Yong Kwang.

The court sent the false witness to the Public Prosecutor for further investigation with the chances of perjury.

The 45-year-old man was a food stall helper, and he began his sentence after the court denied his request for deferment under the reason of the Hari Raya Haji public holiday, which was on 12th August (Monday).

He was found guilty and sentenced in 2017 for sexually assaulting his daughter at home between the years of 2011 to 2014. The daughter was between the ages of 11 and 13 at that time.

He is unable to be named to protect the daughter’s identity.

A major point of his defence was that he was unable to have carried out acts of penetration due to his disfigured penis, which happened because of some enlargement procedures gone wrong.

The photos of his genitals showed his disfigured penis, and the pictures were snapped a month before the trial started in 2016.

The issue was whether the disfiguration was present during the time of his crimes.

His daughter and wife each drew his penis during the trial period. The drawings were completely different when compared to the photos.

During his appeal last April, the offender said that he knew two friends who could back up his story about the condition of his genitals at that time.

Interestingly, one of the friends withdrew from testifying.

His another friend, Mr Muhammad Ridzwan Idris, testified in court that he had seen the offender’s genitals when they were working together at a stall at the Singaporean Expo. He then produced a drawing which looked really identical to the pictures.

However, in January, his new evidence was dismissed by the trial judge. The court further said that it was really strange for the offender to have encountered two different witnesses who had claimed that they saw his genitals at the time of his crimes.

The court added that it’s even stranger that the man met two of the witnesses a few days before the hearing dates.

Furthermore, the court also said it was unlikely that the witness was able to identify the exact day he had looked at the man’s genitals all those years ago, with no elaboration of how he remembered it with such accuracy.

The court further said that it’s highly impossible for Mr Ridzwan, who only got a sidelong look of the offender’s genitals in the toilet, to be able to sketch it from various angles which were almost identical to the photos.

Some perpetrators may think that they are above the law, but justice will be always be served. It is hoped that the victim and the rest of her family would be able to heal from this ordeal.
