A 39-year-old father in Kajang recently fled his home after finding out his 13-year-old daughter filed a police report against him.

According to the New Straits Times, district police chief Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof revealed that the girl had been allegedly repeatedly molested by her father since she was 7 years old. He was quoted as saying,

“When the girl turned 13, the father became more brazen and began to rape her, sometimes as much as three times a week.”

“The father threatened her into silence by saying if her mother found out, he would beat up the mother.”

The 13-year-old, however, could not stand the assault any longer and decided to confide in her school teacher, who then took the girl to a police station to lodge a report against her father at 5.30pm on Thursday (25th July).

After the police report was lodged, the young girl was sent to a hospital for a medical check-up, which confirmed that she was raped. She was then warded in the hospital for further treatment.
