Avengers: Endgame has been shattering records left and right, hauling in a global box office take of approximately RM4.9 billion over 5 days, and it’s no surprise that the blockbuster is all anyone can talk about right now.
The emotional conclusion to 11 years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe seems to have left one Avenger in a bit of a funk, as “Spider-Man” has resurfaced in none other than Beserah, Kuantan!

In a report by Sinar Harian, it was revealed that this mild-mannered Malaysian is none other than 25-year old Mohd Azlan Mohamd Ashari, who runs a drink stall called Tea Beng Avengers alongside his business partner, 39-year old Hasmizah Rashid. While Azlan has made it a habit to don the red-and-blue Spidey costume, he happened to be in the right place at the right time on April 28, when an accident occurred right in front of his stall.
“The accident happened right before my eyes, and I saw the vehicle get overturned. So, I went to help. I wasn’t looking for publicity because my original intent was to give help before the police and medical officers arrived,” he said.
Azlan and Hasmizah have been running the stall since March of 2018, and have become something of a local attraction for drivers looking to parch their thirst in Beserah. Azlan also has costumes of Captain America and Mickey Mouse, but calls the wall-crawler his “true hero”.
Well, it looks like his hero is giving back, because Azlan is now sought after for selfies by kids from all around the area who come to buy drinks!
Thanks for being a hero and helping where no one asked, Azlan! Hopefully other Malaysians will be just as inspired to hold out a helping hand the next time they see something going wrong.
