In arguably one of the worst stricken countries in Asia that have been afflicted with the Covid-19 coronavirus, South Korea has only seen more and more cases of patients testing positive for Covid-19. In fact, the virus has spread so quickly throughout South Korea, it has been reported that over 516 new Covid-19 coronavirus cases were added to the tally today (March 4th 2020), according to Today Online.

This means that the current number of coronavirus cases in South Korea has exceeded 5,000, with the national total standing at 5,328, as well as 32 deaths directly linked to the coronavirus.

As you can imagine with such a sharp increase on a day-by-day basis, hospitals in the worst-hit areas, such as Daegu, have been stretched thin in terms of resources. It has been reported that over 2,300 patients are still waiting to be admitted to hospitals and temporary medical outposts.
