Have you ever found yourself in a video call where you can’t escape? A video call that is unnecessary but your presence is still needed for decorative purposes?

Well, if you choose the escape route, you have the option of using an application called the Zoom Escaper. The website describes it as “a tool to help you escape Zoom meetings and other video conferencing scenarios. It allows you to self-sabotage your audio stream, making your presence unbearable to others.”

The instructions to use the application is written clearly on the website and if you’re still confused, there is a video tutorial as well.

This application will play the background noises or alter your voice during the video conference to make it seem like you have a bad internet connection or there is a problem with your microphone which causes echoing.

Other than that, people can also choose to have the sound of a man crying, a baby crying, wind, dogs barking, construction noises, or urination in the background. Users can also upload their own noises.

If you have spare change, you can support the developer on Patreon here.
