With the world moving in a “greener” direction, most supermarkets and hypermarkets have taken steps to reduce the usage of plastic grocery bags in their businesses.

However, one Malaysian recently faced a problem when she didn’t bring along reusable grocery bags, and was left to decide how to carry her groceries after making a big purchase.

Coming up with a brilliant idea, Anis Farzana posted a clip to her TikTok account @anisfarzzzana about how she circumvented that problem. Lifting the ends of her hijab to create a hollow space, Anis’ friends placed the purchased items in her hijab, before she carried it out of the store located in Pokok Sena, Kedah.

Reacting to the video, many people pointed out how neat Anis’ method was, with one user light-heartedly saying that she wore a multi-purpose hijab.

Others joked about how Anis’ friends could have just used a trolley or basket that was seen in the background of the video, or instead purchase a reusable bag from the store.

One user even joked about one of the customers in the background of the video, who was biting her nails throughout the situation, as she was most likely nervous to see how Anis would carry all the items.

While it may not have been the most convenient method, Anis’ tactic definitely got the job done in a pretty practical way.
